What a remarkable shoot this was, remember me saying I going to retransform my beard? I risked it but that's it, that's what life is, it's taking risks. That's how you become a show stopper, a force to be reckon with. Ideally, this shoot wasn't meant to be shot with me wearing this suit, or any suit for a matter of fact. The casting call was for a ripped builder, you get the gist. Honestly, I wasn't in no damn builder/handyman mind set and on top of that, to be walking topless through Marble Arch, in March? ha-ha, no. So we re-located to Lancaster gate with my photographers associate giving us access to shoot there. Interestingly, I'll say it and stress and say it again but we must never overlook an opportunity given to us, use any given opportunity as a learning curve and of course to set and leave your mark. Almost like spraying cologne on your clothes and the scent attracts anyone that walks past you, that's it, we must set our mark and leave behind history, our history will soon become someone's future.
Listen, it's who you know, stay gracious.
I've almost finished reading this book on "success" but one thing I can take away? is we must be prepared to fail, because life doesn't owe us shit, harsh but true. Being prepared to fail means we stay ready, the knives has to be out, never hold back because our dreams and aspirations may come at any time one given moment so cease it because sometimes you may only get one chance.
Let me tell you a quick story about a man who utilised his resources so well he's worth billions today. Brain Acton went for an interview to work under Facebook but was rejected, he could have just gave up and withered away but what he did next changed the game flipping it upside down and out of the water. Brain Acton then decided to create WhatsApp and guess what? Facebook then bought WhatsApp for $19billion, incredible. I would never have known that if I never read this book, this book serves power, great knowledge and opens your eyes to see everything as an opportunity not an obligation. Never give up, life's too short.
Remember, we must hope for the best but expect the worst.
